MINERAL TIME, LIQUID CONSCIOUSNESS

Mineral Time, Liquid Consciousness is a pictorial project by Narcís Bosch that investigates the transformation of matter and the limits of perception. Consciousness appears not only as a subject, but as an active mechanism of interpretation: faced with ambiguous forms, the eye associates, recognises and reconstructs what it sees, searching for patterns within an unstable reality.

His painting occupies the threshold between abstraction and figuration. The forms do not refer to a stable scale: they may simultaneously evoke microscopic organisms, mineral structures, underwater landscapes or cosmic configurations. This indeterminacy shifts the boundaries between the organic and the inorganic, between body, landscape and universe.

Rather than representing nature, his work explores its processes of formation and change. Growth, sedimentation, erosion, expansion and dissolution are transferred to the pictorial process through pigments, textures, layers and material accidents. The surface does not function merely as a support: it participates in the construction of the image, allowing forms to emerge that the artist then interprets, modifies or leaves open.

The project thus sets different temporalities and states of matter against one another: geological slowness versus the mutability of perception; the apparent permanence of the mineral versus a fluid consciousness. Within this space of uncertainty, a single form may be read as rock, organism, landscape or a fragment of a world yet to be identified.
